Originally from Egypt, Pastor Wagdy Zakher has years of experience in ministry among Muslims in both his home country and in Jordan, where he earned his Master in Biblical Studies in 2003 and Master of Divinity in 2004, from the Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary (JETS).
Married to Jordan native, Nariman Abbassi, the couple served in the Irbid Baptist Church for seventeen years, where Zakher also served as assistant pastor from 2014 through 2016, prior to coming to the United States. While in Jordan, the Zakhers also had an effective ministry among the Druze, Gypsies and Bedouin, reaching many with the gospel of Christ.
The Zakhers have four children, Sylvia, Cynthia, Peter and John. Pastor Zakher shares that his vision is to “continue evangelism and spiritual discipleship of Arabs and refugees” in our area.
