Who we are

The Arabic Baptist Church of Murfreesboro is an Arabic-language Baptist church. We want to make ourselves available to our sister American churches to help in reaching Arabs in general and Muslims in particular for Christ. While we are an Arabic church, our congregation is a mix of all nationalities and our doctrine is rooted in Southern Baptist teaching.

OUR BELIEFS

The Holy Word

The Bible is written in divine revelation by a group of men, which is the revelation of God to himself for man.

God

There is only one God who is the living God. And the eternal God, the eternal triangle of hypostases, reveals himself to us in the form of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, with distinct personal characteristics, without separation in nature, substance, or existence.

God the Father

God the Father possesses divine providence over the universe, creatures, and the flow of human history according to the purposes of his grace. God is the Father of Truth for all who become children of God by believing in Jesus, The messiah.

God the Son

Christ is the Eternal Son of God. Upon his incarnation, Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born from the Virgin Mary. Christ is divine law through his personal obedience, and by his penitential death on the cross he made redemption for man from sin.

God is the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, full of divinity. It glorifies Christ, and makes people cry over sin, righteousness, and judgment.

It gives wisdom and strength to the believer and the church in worship, preaching, and service.

Human

Man is God's own creation, created in His own image. Male and female created a crown at the head of the creation family. With his free choice Man has sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. The sanctity of the human personality is evident in the fact that God has

Man created in His own image, and that Christ died for human beings.

Salvation

Salvation includes the redemption of man as a whole, and it is offered free to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Redeemer, who offered his blood as redemption. Salvation in its broadest sense includes renewal, justification, sanctification, and glorification.

God intended by grace

The choice of the former God is the intention of God by grace, whereby he renews, justifies, sanctifies and glorifies sinners.

The church

The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in the New Testament is an independent local group of Baptized believers, united by the covenant of faith and the Gospel Company. The New Testament also speaks of the Church as a body of Christ, which includes all the redeemed from all ages, and believers from the tribe, tongue, people, and nation.

Baptism and the Lord's Supper

Christian baptism is the immersion of a new believer in water. Baptism is an act that expresses obedience and symbolizes the believer’s faith with the Savior who was crucified, buried, rose, and the believer died from sin, buried the old life, and the resurrection of the path in the newness of life in Christ Jesus.

The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience, where church members remember the Redeemer’s death and await his second coming.

Day of the Lord

The first day of the week is the day of the Lord. It is a celebration of the memory of the resurrection of Christ from the dead, and it must include practices worship and spiritual consecration.

The last things

God, in his appointed time and in his own way, will put the appropriate end to this world. Jesus Christ will return personally and gloriously to the earth according to His promise. Will rise to the dead; Christ will judge all people on righteousness, where the wicked will be cast into hell which is the place of eternal punishment, while the righteous will receive their rewards while they are in the bodies of glorified resurrection and will live forever in heaven with the Lord.

Evangelism and Mission

It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and every family of the Lord Jesus Christ to make the effort to discipline people from all nations. It is the duty of the Son of God to continuously strive to win the souls of Christ through the oral testimony backed by a Christian way of life, and in other ways consistent with the spirit of the message of Christ.

Education

In Jesus Christ is the treasure of all the whims of wisdom and knowledge. Hence, all proper education is part of our Christian heritage. Besides, the issue of education in the Kingdom of Christ comes along with missionary and charitable causes. There must be a balance in Christian education between academic freedom and academic responsibility. The freedom of the teacher in any school, university, or mechanism of Christian theology is limited to the elevation of the place of Jesus Christ, to the nature of the Holy Word as the source of authority, and to the specific purpose of the school.

Cooperation

The people of Christ must establish associations and institutions as needed to ensure cooperation between all to achieve the goals of the Kingdom of God. These institutions have no authority over one another or over the churches. Collaboration is required between different Christian denominations.

Christian and social order

All believers are under an obligation to strive to make the will of Christ the supreme in our lives and in human society. In the spirit of Christ, believers must resist racial discrimination, all forms of greed, selfishness, vice, and all forms of moral corruption.

Religious freedom

The state and the church must be separated. The state owes each church full protection and freedom to pursue its spiritual goals. The free church in the free state is the ideal Christian model.

The family

God has made the family the basic unit of human society. Marriage is the union of one man and one woman during a lifetime commitment. The husband and wife have the same value before God because both of them are created in the image of God. The relationship of marriage provides an example of the way God deals with His people. Children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and inheritance from the Lord.
